ABA Therapy That Accepts Medicaid
Find ABA therapy providers that accept Medicaid across all 50 states. Use the insurance filter on any city page to find Medicaid-accepting providers near you.
Does Medicaid cover ABA therapy?
Yes. Medicaid is required to cover ABA therapy for children with autism under the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) benefit. This applies to all children under 21 enrolled in Medicaid, in all 50 states and Washington D.C.
Coverage typically requires an autism diagnosis (ICD-10 code F84.0 or similar), a treatment recommendation from a physician or psychologist, and a BCBA-supervised treatment plan. Some states require prior authorisation before beginning services.
Not all ABA providers accept Medicaid — reimbursement rates vary significantly by state and many private practices only accept commercial insurance. Use the filter on any city page below to find Medicaid-accepting providers specifically.
